About Fratta Todina

Symbol of Fratta TodinaFratta Todina is one of the smallest towns in the province of Perugia: it's situated on a hill, in the Middle Tiber Valley. The first part of the name comes from the Latin fracta, which means woods; the second part indicates its proximity to Todi. The walls were built in the fourteenth century, the city was built around them, though, the castle was fortified and became a military structure only later, in the fifteenth century. Around 1600, the castle structure was changed again and the building was finally transformed into a beautiful villa. Today it houses the town hall.
